THEBES, Ill. -- Raymond E. Dodson, 76, of Thebes passed away at 12:55 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Raymond was born July 24, 1940, in Elco, Illinois, son of the late Earl Franklin and Flossie L. Hurston Dodson.
Raymond was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Illinois, and he was an Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Dale Dodson Sr. in 2008 and Michael R. Dodson in 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Noma Sanders Dodson of Thebes; three sons, Frank Dodson, Roger Dodson and Monty (Carla) Dodson, all of Thebes; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Dodson of Thebes; a sister, Vera Buster of Bardwell, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Free Will Baptist Church in Olive Branch
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Curt Alderson officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.
