CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Raymond A. Diebold, 80, of Chaffee died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Perkins, Mo., son of the late Jacob and Bertha Graser Diebold. He and Florence Welter were married Nov. 8, 1949. She preceded him in death June 9, 2003...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Raymond A. Diebold, 80, of Chaffee died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Perkins, Mo., son of the late Jacob and Bertha Graser Diebold. He and Florence Welter were married Nov. 8, 1949. She preceded him in death June 9, 2003.

Mr. Diebold was a retired production manager for Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and St. Ambrose Men's Club.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 6:30.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
