Raymond Diebold

Raymond A. Diebold, 80, of Chaffee died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Perkins, Mo., son of the late Jacob and Bertha Graser Diebold. He and Florence Welter were married on Nov. 8, 1949. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2003...

Raymond A. Diebold, 80, of Chaffee died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 3, 1924, in Perkins, Mo., son of the late Jacob and Bertha Graser Diebold. He and Florence Welter were married on Nov. 8, 1949. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2003.

Diebold was a retired production manager for Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee. He was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and the St. Ambrose Men's Club. Diebold served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Ralph Duffner officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
