FREDERICKTOWN - Raymond A. Hollmann, 85, a retired Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper, of Fredericktown, Rt. 2, died Saturday, March 19, at the Mineral Area Regional Health Center in Farmington.
He was born in Warrenton on July 31, 1908, to Henry and Wilhelmine Schultz Hollmann.
On July 20, 1940, he married Alma Stotler in Osceola, Ark. She survives, along with two sons, Robert R. Hollmann of Barnhart and William H. Hollmann of Huntsville; one sister, Lula Hoffman of Jackson, also survives.
Hollmann was a Missouri Highway Patrol trooper for 31 years. He retired from the patrol in 1968 with the rank of sergeant. During his law enforcement career, Hollmann was assigned to St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Perry and Madison counties.
Hollmann was a member of the Retired Troopers Association, the Lion's Club Foundation, and was active in the Boy Scouts of America, where he served as a Scoutmaster. He was a member of the first Presbyterian Church of Fredericktown.
Friends may call after 5 p.m., today, at the Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, at the Wilson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lori Danielson officiating. Burial will be in the Warrenton city cemetery.
