ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Ray D. Wheeler, 49, of Altenburg, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 3, 1955, at Bloomington, Ill., son of James Wheeler and Thelma Worstel Wheeler Klockenga. He and Penny Waters were married June 10, 1989.
Wheeler was employed by Viking Freight, where he worked as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jason Wheeler of Frohna, Mo., and Travis Wheeler of Perryville, Mo.; two daughters, Heather Bray of San Diego, Calif., and Brandy Wheeler of San Bernadino, Calif.; two brothers, James Wheeler of Zion, Ill., and Randy Klockenga of Bloomington; two sisters, Fran Gorham and Dee Dee Klockenga, both of Bloomington; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg on Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. and at the East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington on Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The funeral will be at Crossroads Chapel in Bloomington on Saturday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Mark Wallace will officiate, with burial in East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
