MCCLURE - Ray V. Toler, 67, of McClure, died Friday Oct. 2, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1925 at Dongola, the son of J. Ira and Nina Woodard Toler.
He was married to Annabel Karraker on Aug. 30, 1947 and she preceded him in death on July 19, 1974. On Aug. 2, 1975, he married Joann Collier, who survives.
He was a member of the Dongola Church of Christ, Dongola Lodge #581 A.F. and A.M., a retired serviceman with Southern Illinois Electric Co-op, an Army veteran, a HAM radio operator, a member of the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna, and the American Legion post in McClure.
Besides his wife, survivors are two daughters, Diane Dale of Dongola and Donna Gowin of Dale City, Va.; a son, David Toler of Dongola; a step-daughter, Robyn Walker of Copenhagen, Denmark; two brothers, J. Dwight Toler of Lakewood, Colo. and Warren L. Toler of Stone Park, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Funeral services will be at noon Monday at the funeral home, with Rev. Lucien Bozarth and Ivan Kramer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dongola American Legion Cemetery, with military rites conducted by VFW Post 3455.
