ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Ray Gene Morgan of Anna will be held at 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro. The Rev. Joseph Aldridge will officiate. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church after 11 a.m.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.

Morgan, 54, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, in a highway construction accident near Gorham.

He was born Aug. 17, 1945, in Anna, son of Harry James and Lorene Spurlock Morgan. He and Sharon Kay Hill were married March 1, 1968.

Morgan was an ironworker. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 782, and First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Gena Mayo of Mt. Pleasant, Marsha Morgan of Anna; his mother of Jonesboro; a sister, Clara Harvel of Jonesboro; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son.
