Ray D. Long, 65, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at home.
He was born Aug. 11, 1943, in Brownwood, Mo., son of Pete and Nora Shirrell Long. He and Connie Bohac were married May 10, 1991.
He was retired from Monte Mobile Homes, where he was a service manager. He was a member of the Jackson Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Toby Long of Lincoln, Neb.; a daughter, Tina Smith of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Thomas Fleeman of Cape Girardeau; two stepdaughters, Sunshine Gibbons and Misty Fleeman, both of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Sylvia Collins of Marble Hill, Mo., Shelby Schulte of Puxico, Mo., and Kathy Hale of Advance, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel, in Advance, Mo., with a Masonic service at 5:30 p.m. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Brother Billy Cooper officiating. Interment at Brownwood Cemetery in Brownwood, Mo.
