Ray Keith Champ, 60, of Hopkinsville, Ky., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

He was the son of Grover and Julia Champ. He married the former Deanna Johnson of Cape Girardeau. They lived in St. Louis before moving to Hopkinsville.

Champ was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ray Champ Jr. of St. Louis; his mother of St. Louis; two brothers, Larry (Brenda) Champ of Bowling Green, Mo., Robert (Joy) Champ of O'Fallon, Mo.; a sister, Sue (Larry) Smith of St. Charles, Mo.; a granddaughter, Kayla Strasser-Champ; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Collier's Funeral Home in Bridgeton, Mo.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
