ADVANCE, Mo. -- Randy Leon Langston, 48, of Advance passed away Jan. 9, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 12, 1967, at Rantoul, Illinois, the son of Harlan and Wilda "Jeanie" Welch Langston. Randy had worked for 14 years for Smith's Food Giant. He attended Alpine Church in Layton, Utah. He loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR. He was a good basketball and baseball player in high school. He was friendly to everyone he met...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Randy Leon Langston, 48, of Advance passed away Jan. 9, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 12, 1967, at Rantoul, Illinois, the son of Harlan and Wilda "Jeanie" Welch Langston.

Randy had worked for 14 years for Smith's Food Giant. He attended Alpine Church in Layton, Utah. He loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR. He was a good basketball and baseball player in high school. He was friendly to everyone he met.

Survivors include his parents, Harlan and Jeanie Langston of Advance; a daughter, Sonya Langston of Draper, Utah; a brother, Danny Langston of Puxico, Missouri; two sisters, Teresa Smith of Advance and Evonne Richko of Layton; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kevin Hawkins officiating.

Burial will follow at Rock Point Cemetery near Advance.
