CHAFFEE -- Ralph Peter Seyer, 54, of Chaffee died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at a family cabin. He was born Jan. 26, 1943, in Chaffee, son of August and Minnie Alvina Menz Seyer. He married Wilma Trankler on May 25, 1963, and she survives him. He worked as an order filler with HWI in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4311 of Oran, St. Ambrose Men's Club, Chaffee Elks Lodge #1810 and the Chaffee Optimist Club...

CHAFFEE -- Ralph Peter Seyer, 54, of Chaffee died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at a family cabin.

He was born Jan. 26, 1943, in Chaffee, son of August and Minnie Alvina Menz Seyer. He married Wilma Trankler on May 25, 1963, and she survives him.

He worked as an order filler with HWI in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4311 of Oran, St. Ambrose Men's Club, Chaffee Elks Lodge #1810 and the Chaffee Optimist Club.

He is survived by a son, Carl Seyer of Tamaroa, Ill.; four brothers, Jim Seyer of Dutchtown, David Seyer of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Marin and Don Seyer, both of Chaffee; and two sisters, Geneva Essner and Marie Elfrink, both of New Hamburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where an Elks service will be held at 7 p.m. and a K.C. prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
