ULLIN, Ill. -- Ralph N. Taake, Sr., 90, of Ullin, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1991, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born March 12, 1901, in St. Louis County, son of Jacob Alexander and Louise Horstman Taake. He married Lora Scruggs on Dec. 21, 1924. She died May 6, 1986...

ULLIN, Ill. -- Ralph N. Taake, Sr., 90, of Ullin, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1991, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 12, 1901, in St. Louis County, son of Jacob Alexander and Louise Horstman Taake.

He married Lora Scruggs on Dec. 21, 1924. She died May 6, 1986.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Ullin. He was a farmer and a technician for the Soil Conservation Service in Pulaski and Alexander County. He was also a member of the Pulaski and Alexander County Farm Bureau.

Survivors are a son, Ralph Taake Jr. of Ullin; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Ullin with the Rev. Beth Tickner officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
