FARRAR, Mo. -- Ralph H. Mueller, 78, of Farrar, our dear husband, father and grandfather, met his heavenly Father Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. FARRAR, Mo. -- Ralph H. Mueller, 78, of Farrar, our dear husband, father and grandfather, met his heavenly Father Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, son of Edwin and Emma Grebing Mueller. He and Gloria Steffens were married May 7, 1955, at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar.

He is sadly missed by his wife, Gloria; four children, Mary (Kenny) Whitlock, Susan (Tom) Roth, Richard (Kristi) Mueller, Steven Mueller and friend Gina; granddaughters Anna Whitlock and Morgan Mueller; grandsons Jacob (Sarah) Fiehler, Nicholas Fiehler, Austin, Aaron and Matthew Mueller, and Jeremy (Katie) Roth; two sisters, Elvera Weber of Altenburg, Mo., LaWanda (Lloyd) Haertling of St. Louis; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; granddaughter Jenna Roth; grandsons Christopher Roth and Wade Fiehler; sister Dorothy Preusser; and brother Wilbur.

During his earthly life Ralph loved working with his hands and was an avid carpenter and farmer.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954.

Ralph was a former youth counselor of the Walther League and 4-H leader. He loved to bowl, tell stories, and his laugh was contagious.

May you rest in peace.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. An American Legion wake will be held Friday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, with the Rev. Roger Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military graveside honors provided by American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to Saxony Lutheran High School or Lutheran Hour.
