RALPH MANGRUM

ADVANCE -- Ralph "Chunks" Mangrum, 61, of Advance, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 24, 1930, at Dudley, son of Jess and Ruth Frields Mangrum. He and Mary Ervin were married June 18, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.

Mangrum was a timber worker.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jesse Mangrum of Mishawaka, Ind., Randell Mangrum of Brownwood, Darrell and Kevin Mangrum of Advance; six daughters, Sharon Williams of Swinton, Fran Wolfe of Allenvillle, Kathy Elliotte of Wright, Wyo., Tena Lutes of Morehouse, Mildred Williams and Cindy Mangrum of Dexter; two sisters, Juanita Wilson of Brownwood, Geneva Hill of Puxico; 16 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Florence Long will officiate, with burial in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery near Dudley.
