Ralph Lee Harris Sr., 73, of Jackson, died Friday, Nov. 22, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1923, at Advance, son of Monroe Freeman Harris and Althea Pixley Harris.
He married Vivian Ross at Advance Nov. 22, 1945. She survives.
He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of Cape Girardeau VFW Post 3838. He was general manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken before retiring. He was a member of Faith Evangelical Free Church and was a 32nd-degree Mason.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Lee Harris Jr., of St. Charles; two daughters, Lynn Suhre of Cape Girardeau and Janice Hendricks of Jackson; brothers, Robert Harris of Bloomfield and Lloyd Harris of Memphis, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
A sister preceded him in death.
Service will be held today at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Fred Burgard officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
