Ralph Stewart Hency, 75, of Delta passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 25, 1939, in Oran, Missouri, to the late Claudis William and Lula Mae Estes Hency. Ralph and Betty Lee Wren were married Oct. 28, 1962, in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death Oct. 25, 2010.
Ralph served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Saratoga.
He was a loading-dock foreman for Central Packing 21 years, delivery-parts driver for Horton Sales, worked for Jim Wilson and Napa Auto Tire and Parts, all in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of Lighthouse Bible Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Keith (Elizabeth) Hency of Delta, Kelly (Lisa) Hency of Marshall, Texas, and Brett (Dawn) Hency of Strasburg, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Erica Woodard of South Fulton, Tennessee, and Dianna (Charles) Kohler of Delta; three brothers, Claudis Hency Jr. of Florida, Don Hency of Oran and Bob Hency of Fruitland; two sisters, Clara Dunham of Arkansas and Pauline Burgess of Arnold, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; a son, Kevin Hency; three brothers, Charles, Eugene and Neil Hency; a sister, Maymie; and a great-grandchild, Isaac.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery with full military rites.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Missouri Veterans Home.
