CHARLESTON -- Ralph E. Britt, 73, of Festus, formerly of Mississippi County, died Sunday, May 14, 1995, at Country Woods Nursing Facility in Festus.
Britt was born Oct. 2, 1921, to Richard and Lola Campbell Britt in Crosno.
He married Ann Arthurline Parr Dec. 30, 1939. She survives.
Britt was a riverboat engineer until his retirement in 1980. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Other survivors are two sons, Billy Ralph Britt of De Soto and Richard Arthur Britt of Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Suzette Quint and Debbie Jo Labruyere, both of Kirkwood; a brother, Jewell Britt of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Lillie Shively of East St. Louis, Ill., Almeda Morris of East Prairie, and Edith Forrest of Charleston; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston today after 5:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
