SIKESTON -- Funeral service for R. Lee Polley of Sikeston will be held at 4 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronnie Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Polley, 76, died Wednesday, June 7, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 17, 1918, in Sturgis, Miss., son of Robert and Alma Roach Polley. He and Ida Mae Lenn were married Sept. 29, 1942. She died Dec. 16, 1993.

Polley was a farmer and wholesale dealer, and attended Clines Island Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Polley of Sikeston, Ronald Polley of Bell City; a brother, Charlie Polley of St. Louis; three sisters, Anita Gary of Dexter, Dorothy Lane of Haines City, Fla., Helen Donaldson of Imperial; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
