R. Kenneth Campbell

R. Kenneth "Rabbitt" Campbell, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 18, 1928, in Cape Girardeau to Carl E. and Myrtle Childs Campbell. He and Joan Templeton were married July 30, 1948, in Paragould, Arkansas.

"Rabbitt" was a loyal customer at the Sands Pancake House in Cape Girardeau, and he loved his time spent at Kentucky Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Campbell of Cape Girardeau; a son, Ken (Barb) Campbell of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Susie (Bob) Wittenborn of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Jessica Campbell, Allison Campbell, Mark Wittenborn and Jill Uhrhan; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Wittenborn, Cora Wittenborn and Anna Uhrhan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
