Prudence Cotner McMullin, 95, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 7, 1993, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born July 13, 1897, at Neely's Landing, daughter of Francis M. and Margaret J. Medlock McClard. She and James E. Cotner were married April 4, 1912, at Jackson. He died July 15, 1967. She later married Amos McMullin Oct. 6, 1974, in Cape Girardeau. He died May 25, 1988.
McMullin was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and its Eveready Sunday School Class. She was a former member of Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include four sons, Virgil and Harvey Cotner of Cape Girardeau, Earl Cotner of Scott City, James Cotner of St. Charles; four daughters, Evelyn Snyder, Beulah "Boots" Loucks, Mary Sander and Margaret Wilson, all of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Grace Retherford of Cape Girardeau; four stepsons, Jerry and Dean McMullin of state of Nevada, A.B. McMullin of Springfield, Ill., Donald McMullin of Cape Girardeau; three stepdaughters, Beatrice McMullin of Webster Groves, Coletta Koch of Cape Girardeau County, Irene Williams of state of North Carolina; 21 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers, a sister, two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Red Star Church. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
