Primm L. "Lee" Voss, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1935, in Seventy-Six, Mo., the son of Primm John and Fayvette Parker Voss. Primm L. "Lee" Voss, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Aug. 17, 1935, in Seventy-Six, Mo., the son of Primm John and Fayvette Parker Voss.

Lee spent 35 years in broadcasting, working as a radio announcer and producer with stations across the middle and western U.S. Later in his career he achieved hard-earned success in the insurance business and in commodity trading.

He enjoyed reading and was especially fond of his historical material. His legacy includes the generous and consistent sharing of his experience, strength and hope with others in need.

He was a longtime friend of Bill W., former member of Spina Bifida Association, former member of Jr. Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club in New Mexico and Washington. He was a member of the Southern Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Ross John Voss of Winslow, Ark.; a brother, Edward A. Voss of Hawkins, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Entombment will be at the mausoleum.
