ADVANCE -- Melba "Phyllis" Cook, 74, of Advance died Thursday, May 11, 2000, at her home.
She was born July 8, 1925, in Advance, daughter of Joseph and Jewell Rhodes Redman. She and William T. Cook were married Feb. 14, 1947, in Detroit, Mich. He died in 1994.
Cook was a supervisor at Michigan Bell 30 years. She was a member of Fairfield Methodist Church, Advance Order of Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Survivors include a brother, Milford Redman of Advance; two sisters, Beatrice Stauffer of Bertrand and Georgia Bollinger of Advance.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Morgan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Linda Zych officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
