Phillip Lee Warren, 90, peacefully went to heaven Saturday, May 11, 2024.

He was born in Williamsville, Missouri, Sept. 7, 1933, to Palo L. and Fora Casey Warren.

Phil received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He proudly served as a navigator in the U.S. Air Force.

On April 12, 1959, he married his wife of 65 years, Betty Lou Green, at Grace United Methodist Church, where they are currently members.

Loving survivors include his wife, Betty; sons, Grant Warren and Lance (Tammy) Warren; daughter, Tara (Tim) Lutes; grandchildren, Matthew (Vanessa) Warren, Elisabeth (Sam) Maier, Dr. Kyle (fiance, Justice Mosier) Warren, Jonathon (Sara Boone) Lutes, Sydney (Ross, D.N.P) Quinton, D.N.P and Nathan Lutes; great-grandchildren, Hadley, Everly, Collins, Warren James, Sutton, Thea and Addison; sisters, Gleta Gorman and Mona Ziekle and their families; brothers-in-law, Jim (Erma) Green, William (Marian) Green and their families; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; mother- and father-in-law, Champ and Leona Green; daughter-in-law, Randi Jarvis Warren; brother and his wife, James Edmond (Mattie) Warren; sisters and their husbands, Bernice (Charles) Ector, Marie (Roy) Baker, Edith (John) Crook; brothers-in-law Rex Gorman and John Ziekle; and three nephews, Greg Gorman, Brad Ziekle and Warren Ector.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Linda Gastreich officiating. Private burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Grace United Methodist Church or Grace United Methodist Church Foundation for Champ and Leona Green Scholarship Fund.
