SIKESTON -- Phillip Douglas Ledbetter, 61, of Huber Heights, Ohio, died Sunday, July 20, 1997, at Middletown Regional Hospital in Middletown, Ohio.

He was born May 27, 1936, at Parma, son of Hershel L. and Winona Mabel Pulliam Ledbetter.

Ledbetter was employed 25 years with ABF Trucking Co. of Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of Teamsters Local 957 in Dayton. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney and Rick Ledbetter of Combine, Texas; three daughters, Phyllis Morris of Middletown, Carolyn Duck of Campbell, Margie Ledbetter of Sikeston; a stepson, Mark Ledbetter of Dayton; two stepdaughters, Estelle Ward of Kokomo, Ind., Debbie Baker of Sikeston; three brothers, Gary Ledbetter of New York City, the Rev. Ronald Ledbetter of Essex, Jimmy Ledbetter of Parma; a sister, Kay Smith of Puxico; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
