PADUCAH, Ky. Funeral service for Peter J. Drury of Paducah, Ky. will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Roths Funeral Home in Paducah.
Mr. Drury died Friday at the Life Care Center in Paducah. He was 76.
He was born June 1, 1914 in Kelso to the late Landry and Dora Dannenmueller Drury. He married Margaret Purschell, who preceded him in death in 1971.
He was a member of the Catholic Church in Paducah. He also was a member of the 140th Infantry Band of the U.S. Army, and later joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in World War II at Iwo Jima.
Survivors include a son, David Drury of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Donna K. Purcell of Boaz, Ky.; two brothers, his twin brother Paul Drury of St. Louis and Leander Drury, also of St. Louis; three sisters, Marcella Blattel of Denver, Colo., LeaDeane Penberthy of St. Louis, and Alverta Leiner of Scott City; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from noon today until the time of the funeral Monday. Arrangements are announced courtesy of Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
