Job, 72, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 13, 1927, in Cape Girardeau, son of Arthur J. and Ella Schwab Job. He and Betty Johnson were married Dec. 12, 1959, in Cape Girardeau.

Job farmed all his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, American Legion and Knights of Columbus Council 1111. He also played amateur baseball and softball. He was a medic in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary Job of Scott City; three daughters, Diane Lindsay and Ellen Robinson of Cape Girardeau, Sally Schlegel of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Virginia Conley and Edna Schabbing of Cape Girardeau, Louise Schlosser of Randles; two brothers, Albert Job of Cape Girardeau, Clarence Job of Kelso; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
