HIRAM -- Pete Green, 90, of Hiram, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1992, at Greenville Nursing Care Center in Greenville.

He was born Feb. 27, 1902, at Glennon, son of David and Bell Ward Green. He and Flossie L. Moyers were married Oct. 17, 1935. She died Feb. 17, 1992.

Green was a retired farmer.

Survivors include three sons, Rev. Loyd, Robert and Edgar Green of Hiram; five daughters, Vergie Haydu of Piedmont, Martha Young of Des Moines, Iowa, Carrie Cook of Hiram, Faye Groppe and Ann Bucherding of New Haven; three sisters, Ella Beckwell of Webster Groves, Elsie Westbrook of St. Louis, and Stella Wilfong of Dongola.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Baker Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. The Revs. Paul Jordan and Clinton Massa will officiate, with burial in Cowan Cemetery at Hiram.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. today.
