James Perry Cravens, 79, of Cape Girardeau went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born May 21, 1938, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, the son of the late James Eli and Pauline Perry Cravens. He and Linda Mosley were married Aug. 5, 1978, in Arnold, Missouri. She survives of the home.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Perry retired from Farm Credit Banks in St. Louis. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Arnold, Missouri, First Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri, and was currently a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

He is survived by his loving family: Bob and Janice Mosley Kirkbride of Fenton, Missouri; Stephen and Ava Mosley Huffstutler of Sikeston, Missouri; Steve and Lana Mosley Hefner of Irmo, South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with the Rev. David Ross officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Missouri Honor Guard.
