OLMSTED, Ill. -- Pernecia R. Ramsey, 83, of Olmsted died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 24, 1912, in Paducah, Ky., daughter of Byron and Clara Ramsager Shelton. She married Chilton Ramsey, who died in July 1995...

OLMSTED, Ill. -- Pernecia R. Ramsey, 83, of Olmsted died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 24, 1912, in Paducah, Ky., daughter of Byron and Clara Ramsager Shelton. She married Chilton Ramsey, who died in July 1995.

Ramsey was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Sikeston, Mo., and had been organist.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Ramsey of Louisville, Ky., Phillip Ramsey of Olmsted; two sisters, Vivian Burd and Doris Rogers of Olmsted; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, a grandson, and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Mouser and Encil Edmonds officiating. Burial will be in Barlow Cemetery in Barlow, Ky.
