ADVANCE, Mo. -- Peggy Joann Winchester, 81, of Advance passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, at her home.
She was born Feb. 16, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Robert and Nettie Niswonger Winder. Peggy and Jim Winchester were united in marriage, and he preceded her in death Sept. 24, 2016.
Peggy had worked as sign-language interpreter for various school districts in Southeast Missouri. She was a member of Dongola Friendship Baptist Church in Dongola, Missouri.
Survivors include two sons, Rick (Patti) Niswonger of Munford, Tennessee, and Jason Niswonger of Gordonville; daughter, Stacy Niswonger of Scott City; brother, Paul Winder of Herculaneum, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Earl, Robert, Charles and Jim Winder; and sister, Patsy Green.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Page officiating. Burial will follow at Dongola Cemetery in Dongola.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Dongola Friendship Baptist Church.
