Peggy Flippin Stewart, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at her home. She was born Aug. 1, 1929, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Paul and Glenys Smith Flippin. Peggy Flippin Stewart, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at her home.

She was born Aug. 1, 1929, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Paul and Glenys Smith Flippin. She and Dr. William Stewart were married.

Stewart was a member of Cairo Baptist Church. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Order of the Rose.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Kevin Stewart of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Jill Lawler of Mounds, Ill.; two grandsons; and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating.
