Peggy J. Burlison, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1921, in Senath, Mo., to Phillip and Birdie Henson Nipper.
She married Farris Eugene Foster June 8, 1941, in Piggot, Ark. He preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1979. She married Woodrow J. Burlison in 1982 in Kennett, Mo. He preceded her in death Dec. 6, 1996.
She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Cape Girardeau, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, treasurer and was involved in music. She was with the family business, Foster Commercial Refrigeration, in Cape Girardeau for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy J. Kitchen of Cape Girardeau; a son, Eastman G. Foster of Kelso, Mo.; three sisters, Mary Nell Schumn of Munster, Ind., Helen Hobbs of Naylor, Mo., and Veaver Wycoff of Fenton, Mo.; four grandchildren, Angie M. McMahon of Cape Girardeau, Alison Morningstar of Little Rock, Ark., Kendra Mitchell of Athens, Ga., and Andrew Shain of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary Morningstar and Alexia McMahon.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell E. Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
