Iva "Pearline" Poston, 83, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007, at her home.
She was born Nov. 3, 1923, in St. Louis, daughter of James and Victoria Faulkner Lewis. She and John H. Poston were married Dec. 14, 1945. He passed away Dec. 12, 1985.
Poston lived in Cape Girardeau since 1996 and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She and John previously resided in Des Arc, Mo., and St. Ann, Mo., where she worked in the cafeteria at Pattonville High School.
Loving survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Stone of Cape Girardeau, Carole (Bob) Jones of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two granddaughters, Denise (Mike) Jira and children Whitney, Michael James and John William, all of Bethlehem, Ga.; Angie (Brett) Yount and children Paige and Benjamin of Cape Girardeau; Mike Fieser of Lawrenceville; and a sister, Wanda (Raymond) Rudy of St. Charles, Mo.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday, April 30, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rob Mehner officiating.
