BLOOMFIELD -- Pearl Stone, 82, of Bloomfield died Monday, June 17, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born in Arkansas March 13, 1914, and married Howard Stone, who preceded her in death. She and her husband farmed and operated a country store near Sikeston before moving to Blytheville, Ark., where she was employed by American Greeting Cards for 34 years. BLOOMFIELD -- Pearl Stone, 82, of Bloomfield died Monday, June 17, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born in Arkansas March 13, 1914, and married Howard Stone, who preceded her in death.

She and her husband farmed and operated a country store near Sikeston before moving to Blytheville, Ark., where she was employed by American Greeting Cards for 34 years. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield.

Survivors are four sisters, Opal Williams, Alma Tiller, Beulah Eaton and Dorothy Gillespie, all of Bloomfield; two brothers, Glenn Fulkerson of Bernie and J.W. Fulkerson of Dexter; two grandsons; two great grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Eskew and the Rev. Hank Foster officiating. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
