DEXTER -- Funeral for Pearl Marie Petzoldt of Dexter will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. John's United Church of Christ near Fruitland. The Rev. David Schaffner will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.

Watkins and Sons Funeral Home at Dexter is in charge of arrangements.

Petzoldt, 88, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998, at Crowley Ridge Care Center.

She was born June 11, 1910, at Friedheim, daughter of Fritz Henry and Rosy Bess Dambach. She and Leo R. Petzoldt were married Feb. 7, 1932. He died Nov. 22, 1983.

The Petzoldts lived and farmed in the Oak Ridge area more than 50 years. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Bailey of Alexander, Ark., Verna Jones of Bloomfield, Fern Rhem of Advance; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
