ADVANCE -- Pearl B. Owens, 80, of Advance, died Thursday, June 18, 1992 at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 19, 1911, the daughter of Benjamin Herrell and Flora Boyd Herrell.
She married James Ervin Owens, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1986.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel General Baptist Church near Advance.
Survivors are five sons, Verdell Owens, Godfrey, Ill., James Kenneth Owens, Bethalto, Ill., Bennie Owens, Zalma, Gerald Owens, Advance and Terry Owens, Cape Girardeau; five daughters, Norma Hodge, Thomaston, Ga., Mary Wilton, Piedmont, Rosalie Hoffman, Broken Arrow, Okla., Dorothy Bond, Advance and Judy Maples, Godfrey, Ill.; 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.
Friends may call today from 6-9 p.m. at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Norman Elledge officiating. Burial will follow in Cato Cemetery near Arab.
