Pauline Stevens, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Dec. 2, 1923, in Matthews, Mo., to John Henry and Rosie Brees Bonds. She married Paul Tweedy, who passed away in April 1945. She married Paul Mobley in 1949, who passed away in 1980. Later she married Albert Stevens, who preceded her in 1994.
Stevens was a member of First General Baptist Church of Jackson since 1973.
Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn (Frank) Eaton of Imperial, Mo., Frances Kight of Cape Girardeau, Doris Young of Jackson; two stepsons, Larry (Diane) of Wisconsin, Denny (Paige) Stevens of Minnesota; three brothers, Henry "Bud" Bonds of Bourbonnais, Ill., Cecil Bonds of Johnston City, Ill., Bill Bonds of Herrin, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Paula Sedgwick, Rhonda Hecht, Jeff Kight, Marsha McNeely, Kenny Kight, Michael McNeely, Ben and Jonathan Kight; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters, a grandson and two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
The funeral will be at noon Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mike Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
