MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Pauline Sander, 91, of Marble Hill died Sunday, June 25, 2000, at her home.
She was born July 7, 1908, in Columbus, Ky., daughter of Pleasant M. and Kate B. Jones Britt. She and Leon L. Sander were married Nov. 25, 1929, at Lutesville. He died in June 1975.
Sander had been a teacher at Marble Hill, Qulin, Williamsville, Naylor, Sylvan, and Seiler schools, and retired from Woodland Schools.
She was a member of Marble Hill First Baptist Church, General Federation of Women's Club in Marble Hill, and former member of Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Borden of Marble Hill; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Marble Hill Cemetery.
