Nothern, 83, died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at Union County Hospital.

She was born Sept. 12, 1915, in Dongola, daughter of Aaron and Hester Keller Capron. She and Carl Nothern were married Oct. 30, 1946. He died July 26, 1992.

Nothern is a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Genevieve Hight of Arthur and Iris Burch of Anna.
