EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Pauline P. Keeton, 78, of Palmetto, Fla., formerly of East Prairie, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at her home.
She was born Oct. 28, 1922, in East Prairie, daughter of Dave and Henry Houston Pool Parker. She and Charlie F. Keeton were married April 18, 1943, at Pinhook near East Prairie. He died Sept. 29, 1981.
Keeton lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She and her husband owned and operated Keeton Grocery in Whiting, Mo. The past four years she lived in Palmetto, where she was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney Keeton of East Prairie and Danny Keeton of Tallahassee, Fla.; two daughters, Patsy Marvobick of St. Charles, Mo., and Lind Byrns of Palmetto; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers, two sisters and her parents.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Shelby Chapel. Martin Lucas will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
