ANNA, Ill. -- Pauline Brooks, 94, of Anna died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Jonesboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill. She was born May 7, 1912, in Marion, Ill., daughter of Cyrus and Blanche Grant Davis. She and Fred Brooks were married Aug. 31, 1929. He died Sept. 28, 1981...

ANNA, Ill. -- Pauline Brooks, 94, of Anna died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Jonesboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Jonesboro, Ill.

She was born May 7, 1912, in Marion, Ill., daughter of Cyrus and Blanche Grant Davis. She and Fred Brooks were married Aug. 31, 1929. He died Sept. 28, 1981.

Brooks and her husband owned and operated Brooks Paint and Wallpaper Store 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna.

Survivors include a son, Dale Brooks of Anna; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Tony Foeller officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery at Marion.
