Paula Yvonne Miller, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Cape Girardeau to William Paul and Opal Maire Lohman Henson.
She and Earl Wayne Miller were married Feb. 26, 1955, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death April 16, 1999.
Paula was a 1953 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
She was a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, charter member of the Eagles Club and past president of the VFW Auxiliary.
She was a self-taught artist, loved fishing and making fishing lures, loved animals, the outdoors and spending time with her grandkids.
Paula was an active member for many years at Maple United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Anthony (Susan) Miller of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Christy (James) Gully of Bradenton, Florida, and Karen (Bob) Keller of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Saint Francis Hospice, 14 Doctors Park, Suite C, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.
