Paul E. Seckel, 76, of Scott City died Friday, July 25, 2008, at the home of his daughter in Scott City. Paul E. Seckel, 76, of Scott City died Friday, July 25, 2008, at the home of his daughter in Scott City.

He was born April 21, 1932, in St. Louis, son of William C. and Anna Marie Voss-Klostermeyer Seckel Sr. He and Carla Jean Gaines were married July 25, 1970, in Cuba, Mo. She died Aug. 31, 2006.

Seckel served in the Korean War from Oct. 13, 1952, to Aug. 25, 1954.

He was of the Lutheran belief. He was a maintenance worker in residential construction.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandi Roberts of Scott City; two sons, Tom Morgan and wife Michelle, and Paul D. Morgan of Benton, Mo.; two granddaughters, Megan Roberts and Candice Morgan of Scott City; a brother, Donald Seckel of Florissant, Mo.; two sisters, Eileen Seckel of O'Fallon, Mo., and Ruth Warmann of Salem, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six brothers and three sisters.

There is no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with the Rev. Robert Azinger officiating. Full military rites will be provided by Missouri Honors Program.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
