JACKSON -- Paul R. DuSablon, 77, of Route 4, Jackson died Sunday, May 23, 1993, at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home. JACKSON -- Paul R. DuSablon, 77, of Route 4, Jackson died Sunday, May 23, 1993, at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home.

He was born Feb. 6, 1916, at Winnipeg, Canada, the son of James and Corinne Boiteau DuSablon. On Sept. 3, 1939, he married Virginia Ehlers at Maynard, Iowa. She survives of the home.

He worked for B.W. Birk and Co. for 18 years before his retirement in 1977. He was a member of Pipefitters Union Local #562 and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Other survivors include two sons, Paul DuSablon Jr. of St. Louis and Arthur DuSablon of Carmi, Ill.; two daughters, Yvonne Mitkos of Staunton, Ill., and Rachelle Ali of Catawissa; two brothers, Augustin DuSablon of Des Plaines, Ill., and Alfred DuSablon of Centerville, Iowa; two sisters, Arthemise Varefe and Jeanne Schell, both of Centerville, Iowa; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Chapel in Maynard, Iowa, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. Dr. Leslie Mitkos will officiate, and burial will be in Long Grove Cemetery in Maynard. Local arrangments will be handled by McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
