PERRYVILLE -- Paul J. McLain, 92, of Perryville died Monday, Nov. 10, 1997, at Perry County Nursing Home. He was born Nov. 19, 1904, at Silver Lake, son of Marion and Mary Tucker McLain. He and Mary Corine Jannin were married Oct. 20, 1925. McLain was a farmer, and member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church...

PERRYVILLE -- Paul J. McLain, 92, of Perryville died Monday, Nov. 10, 1997, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born Nov. 19, 1904, at Silver Lake, son of Marion and Mary Tucker McLain. He and Mary Corine Jannin were married Oct. 20, 1925.

McLain was a farmer, and member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joseph McLain of St. Charles, Robert McLain of Perryville; four daughters, Mary McLain, Rose Geile and Anna Cissell of Perryville, Rita Duvall of Collinsville, Ill.; a brother, Claude McLain of Manassas, Va.; three sisters, Edith Roth and Marie Marshall of St. Louis, Gertrude Unterreiner of Liberty; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two children, three brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-9:45 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
