JONESBORO, Ill. -- Paul McCloud, 82, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1997, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Reynoldsville, son of Ernest A. and Lula Mae Adkins McCloud. He and Edna Morgan were married March 23, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She died Oct. 23, 1991.
McCloud was an oil and gasoline distributor with Fruit Belt for 29 years. He was also a mail carrier 22 years, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and deacon many years, member of Jonesboro Masonic Lodge, and Shrine Ainad Temple in East St. Louis. He had served on the Jonesboro and Wolf Lake school boards. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda McCloud of Anna; two sisters, Dorothy Fricks of Anna, and Pat Grammer of Milford, Ohio.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today. Masonic service will be at 7.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Phil Nelson and Randy Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery, with military rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
