Paul Jones

Paul F. Jones, 95, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Alto Pass, Ill., died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born Feb. 29, 1908 in Millersville, Mo., to James Franklin and Myrtle Talley Jones. He married Adelaide I. Friese April 17, 1938, in Ilmo, Mo.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Sara Kassel of Lee's Summit, Mo.; one sister, Marjory Keske of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Jones was a member of the Millersville Baptist Church. He was a retired auto mechanic and instructor at Southern Illinois University.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Alto Pass. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Perry Williams officiating. Internment will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
