Paul R. Hoffmeister, 77, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born June 1, 1924, in Jackson, Mo., son of August and Minnie Hoffmeister. He married Louise Proctor, who died Dec. 23, 1987.
Hoffmeister owned and operated Mr. Paul's Beauty Shop. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Hoffmeister of Park Hills, Mo., John Hoffmeister of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Kia McGarr of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Norman Hoffmeister of St. Louis; three sisters, Henrietta Godwin and Carlene Kasten of Jackson, Mable Schaefer of Cape Girardeau; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
There is no visitation.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
