PAUL HOECKELE SR.

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Paul H. Hoeckele Sr., 91, of Perryville died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born May 18, 1910, in Jackson, Mo., son of Charles and Sarah Masterson Hoeckele. He and Rosella "Sally" Heisserer were married in 1932. She died Oct. 9, 1936.

Hoeckele was owner/operator of Hoeckele's Bakery. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Sportsman Club, American Legion Booster, and was a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Wingerter of Perryville; a son, Paul Hoeckele Jr. of Perryville; two sisters, Margaret Wilson of Anaheim, Calif., Helen Lancaster of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:40 a.m. Wednesday. The wake will be at 7 tonight, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson, Mo.
