Funeral service for Paul Hendrickson of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. today at Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The Rev. Jeff Bralley will officiate, with burial in Kinsey Cemetery near Poplar Bluff.
Hendrickson, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Sept. 23, 1918, in Clay County, Ark. He and Velma Murray were married in 1941 in Piggott, Ark. She died May 1, 1992.
Hendrickson was a machinist. He was a former VFW post commander, and member of National Rifle Association. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving a Bronze Star and Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Hendrickson of Williamsville; a daughter, Margie Thompson of Louisville, Miss.; and a sister, Pansy Hale of Poplar Bluff.
